What do you Covet?

Hi again,

Sometimes I just get so amazed at how many great freebies are on offer at any single time and quite often
I rely on the use of other blog writers to handpick what they deem to be the "cream of the crop".
Over time, you end up returning to the same blogs that mirror your scrapping tastes, and if your freebie hunting could be classified as a bloodsport, then you already know that there is no one blog that covers all the freebies worth getting (and no this blog is not it - I don't have the patience to post little pictures of each freebie - isn't that silly as I feel I have to write something beside a link - and it probably takes up just as much time)
I hope in time, you will see what type of freebies I usually go for - I do admit I have weaknesses for certain items but I notice the download number for these freebies is also reassuringly high.  But sometimes you just have to be in the right place at the right time.  Anyway, what was the point of this blog post - ahh yes.. my weaknesses!

Once again, I would love to know what you are loving in layouts and freebies right now, confess your covets in the comments.

  • Alphas that are one of a kind or professionally crafted and highly versatile
  • Anything that is to do with memories and digital keepsake tools - yum yum
  • I am a bit partial to epoxy stuff but I have noticed certain designers I covet don't approve of it.
  • QP's that take your breath away - normally by a French designer, hand-painted and clustered
  • Templates that have rounded paper edges and also cut out shapes to see paper underneath
  • I still go gaga over anything that is doodled well - but I have enough owls and birds to sink a battleship.
I think I read somewhere that owls were a major trend item right now...
No kidding, I have about sixteen of them (it's ok they don't eat much!)
I also don't have children, but that hasn't stopped me from collecting back to school freebies - which I think is a bit wierd, but maybe I know that in time I will be good enough to scrap for my friends and family as gifts.
It's funny how many layouts are dedicated to children once you are painfully aware that you won't be able to
do that. I love reading the journalling and the gorgeous pictures, don't get me wrong, but I have noticed that women seem to prefer to be emotionally in touch with motherhood and children, I don't see a lot of layouts about celebrating the self - perhaps this is seen as self-indulgent?  I think I want to journal my layouts as best as I can, but sometimes I feel like I am just not going to have enough "cute" material. No baby toes or amazing insights of this precious bundle.   Just me and maybe (if it's a good photo and he's in a good mood lol) my amazing but rather ordinary looking partner. I am just going to have to dig deeper and find something I feel matches the layout.  But what about outfits!?  Oh well.
