I do hope everyone is having a nice weekend. I'm attempting to do some layouts and I'm having a big unzip weekend as my HDD is down to 2 Gig and Mr Mr (my man) is tut-tutting.
We are looking online for the cheapest TB of portable storage - I have at least 234 folders in my sorted scraps alone and if anything happened to them - I think I would die!
The hours spent sorting and tagging would easily rank in the triple figures by now. I am a bit anally-retentive.
I use a variety of tools for organising and viewing all of my freebies (PSD, TIFF and PNG included)
Picassa from Google really is a gem. It's extremely good at updating folders and finding files that you may not have thought of. It's fast and free and fab. My three favorite things. Give it a whirl and see what you think.

It has wonderful Blogger integration of course, seeing Google own the world!
